This experience combines a guided visit to the Tsukiji Outer Market with a private, hands-on sushi-making session at a Japanese home — a setting rarely open to visitors.
Led by a National Licensed Guide Interpreter with 15 years of experience, it focuses on understanding Japanese food culture through everyday cooking rather than professional techniques.
Participants learn simple, practical methods of sushi-making that can easily be recreated after returning home.
The goal is not to imitate a sushi chef, but to master the essential skills — such as preparing sushi rice, slicing tuna, and grating wasabi — in a relaxed, home-style setting.
Unlike classes held in restaurants or studios, this program offers insight into ordinary Japanese life, showing how sushi can be prepared and enjoyed in a real home environment.
