What to expect

The Jeans Making Experience is an exclusive program available only at Betty Smith (patented).

Participants can choose their favorite style from the available jeans lineup and use a special riveting machine to attach their selected buttons and rivets to create their own pair of jeans. Optional customization includes adding leather patches or decorative wappen badges for a personalized finish.

This program centers on the “golden silhouette”, refined from over 20,000 custom orders, using high-quality Made-in-Japan denim to help each guest craft their ideal pair.

After arrival, guests receive measurements and a fitting consultation, selecting a base pattern such as slim, straight, or tapered.

Next, they learn about the fabric’s weight, color, and shrinkage to determine the best fit based on purpose and season. Participants then choose buttons, rivets, and leather patches, and experience the riveting process under staff guidance. Finally, each pair is finished with a chain-stitched hem using the Union Special sewing machine, allowing guests to take their jeans home the same day.
