Your adventure begins in Pokhara. After preparing your trekking baggage, enjoy a relaxing morning by the serene lakeside. In the evening, you will receive a full briefing about the trek ahead. Take rest and be ready to start the journey.
After breakfast, a quick drive takes us to Birethanti, where we show our permit, and the trek will start from here. Tie your boots tight, and the walk begins. The Ulleri climb features numerous stone steps; it can be tough, but it is also beautiful. We will walk through peaceful woods, farm terraces, and sometimes we will see friendly goats.
Today is a calmer, more peaceful day. The path curves through a forest of tall rhododendron trees, and if you are here in spring, the whole forest explodes with bright and colorful flowers. Ghorepani sits at the top of the hills. The evenings are cold, but the teahouses are warm and cozy, where trekkers drink tea, share stories, and relax by the fire.
It’s a pre-sunrise start! Using headlamps to see the path as we climb up to Poonhill. It’s quite a walk until the sky begins to turn a beautiful gold. When the sun hits the top of the big mountains-Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Machhapuchhre feels like the whole world stops for a minute. After Breakfast, we head to Ghorepani, the trail goes down and up again until Tadapani appears. Tadapani is a small settlement surrounded by thick rhododendron and oak forest.
Today’s walk has a mix of everything. The path descends downhill, crosses small bridges over rivers, and winds through a quiet forest, passing by a tiny mountain village. The day has a calm and steady feeling. When we finally reach Sinuwa, the forest feels deeper and greener, the air becomes cooler, and huge mountains seem to be just a little closer to us.
The path today winds through the bamboo forest and beautiful waterfalls. You can always hear the gentle sound of the Modi Khola River far below us. This is a day to relax, walk gently, and just enjoy being near the mountain. Deurali, a charming village, sits above the tree line, where the night is full of bright stars and the air is cool and fresh.
Finally, the day is here when you feel magical. The path leading us from the thinning out trees, open terrain, to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3,700m). Crossing MBC, the final climb to Annapurna Base Camp is a breathtaking nature amphitheater. Towering mountains pierce the sky; there are some lodges with stunning views for a lifetime memory.
We leave the high mountains behind, our hearts full of happiness. The helicopter takes us from the land of ice, down past peaceful farms and hamlets, gently returning us to the warm and welcoming atmosphere of Pokhara.
