Unplug from your week with an authentic Japanese tea ceremony led by a trained expert in Urasenke Chanoyu. Each ceremony is a unique blend of mindfulness and culture, fostering a space of unity and reflection for all. Guests will enjoy the serene preparation of matcha, a traditional Japanese sweet, and an introduction to the fascinating history and philosophy behind this traditional art. Meeting and pickup
We will meet at my personal tea room in Sayulita, disclosed after booking.
What to expect
2. Before entering the tea room, we will sit and learn about the history of tea in Japan, how the ceremony evolved, and tea room etiquette.
3. Together, we will do a very brief mindfulness activity to quiet the mind and enter the tea room.
4. I will perform the tea ceremony in which a traditional Japanese sweet and a bowl of ceremonial-grade matcha will be served for each guest.
5. At the end, guests will have a chance to ask any questions or share about the experience before we part ways.
