Day 1: Mombasa - Taita Hills Game Sanctuary Depart from your beach hotel in Mombasa and travel to Taita Hills Game Sanctuary. Enjoy a game drive along the way. Upon arrival at Taita Hills Lodge, have lunch and relax for a while. Then, head out for a game drive in the sanctuary to search for lions and other wildlife until sunset. Return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay at Salt Lick Lodge/ Taita hills resort. This lodge is especially memorable for its imaginative structure. A complex of rondavels sit on stilts over a series of water holes. These two-story towers, topped by peaked thatch roofs connected by open-air-bridges, create an African fantasy of a medieval fortress. The lodge has been built with game viewing in mind. The structure provides you with a panoramic view of the sanctuary, offering spectacular views of the landscape and wildlife
