The town of Giverny is well known thanks to the house of Claude Monet. But what a lot of people don't know is that this whole region has very beautiful places to be discovered. One of them is the town of La Roche-Guyon, awarded by the Badge "Les plus beaux villages de France". Its caves, in addition to very curious, offer an amazing view of the valley of the Seine River. The city's castle itself, in addition to its church, were built taking advantage of the hills of limestone sediment. For those who like a bicycle ride that fills the eyes, on a nice road and without much physical difficulty, going to Giverny through La Roche-Guyon is a very unusual way to get to Monet's house. It is no surprise that many cyclists and cyclists enjoy the weekend walking around the region.

    Gare St. Lazare

    We meet at the store where we can rent the bicycles. Once they are calibrated, we head to the oldest train station in the city, Gare Saint-Lazare. From there, we took the train, along with several other cyclists enjoying the day.

    La Roche-Guyon

    After about 50 minutes of travel, we came off the train to start our bike ride. We headed to the town of La Roche-Guyon to visit its surroundings, passing through its caves, its church and its castle. A quiet walk along the valley of the Seine River, with stops to see the beauties of the region.

    Giverny

    We stopped for lunch on the banks of the Seine, in front of the castle of La Roche-Guyon. We can take advantage of following one of the French traditions: the picnic. Those who do not have a sandwich in their backpack can buy something to eat at the local restaurants. Afterwards, we headed to Giverny - whoever wants can take advantage of seeing Claude Monet's house and its beautiful garden or simply visit the city.

    Gare St. Lazare

    After Giverny's visit, we took the train back to Paris. We descended in Saint-Lazare and went together to the meeting point to return the bicycles.
