Living cuisine of the South Californian Sea Personalized experience

This experience is special because it is not demonstrative, it is fully participatory. Visitors cook real seafood from start to finish inside an operating restaurant, guided by a local chef. It lives in small groups, allowing personalized attention and an authentic experience, without rushing or tourist assembly. Before cooking, participants know the product, its freshness and its origin, understanding the sea as an essential part of the cuisine. Everything happens on a terrace in front of the sea wall of La Paz, integrating the environment as part of the experience. The result is not only to learn recipes, but to live the local gastronomic culture, taste what was prepared and take a real and memorable memory.

Upon arrival at the restaurant Mariscos El Molinito climb directly to the terrace. Being 5 minutes before the start of the activity is enough.

What to expect

Experience the cuisine of the Sea of Cortez. In this experience you do not come to take a class, you come to live the cuisine of sudcalifornia as a local does.

For 3 hours you will be part of a small or personalized group guided by a local chef, where you will learn to recognize some fresh seafood and actively participate in the elaboration of traditional dishes of Baja from scratch. In the end, you will taste what you prepared yourself, overlooking the seawall of La Paz.

It is a real and participatory experience: everyone cooks, everyone tastes and everyone takes more than just the recipes.

The experience begins on the spectacular terrace at Mariscos El Molinito on the Malecón, where we will use the freshest ingredients for the preparation of dishes under the supervision and direction of one of the chefs. During this experience we include up to 3 selected drinks. In the end, you will receive a traditional gift from the region and a small recipe book to take you an unforgettable culinary experience.

  • The experience is regularly taken on the terrace of our restaurant, but the area may not be available at the last minute and without notice due to weather or other situations. If that happens, the area to be used will be on the first floor, overlooking the sea.
