Wuyou Temple (乌尤寺) is a serene Buddhist temple located on Wuyou Mountain, just across the river from the Leshan Giant Buddha. It offers a peaceful and complementary cultural experience to the more crowded Buddha site. Built during the Tang Dynasty (originally named Zhengjue Temple) and renamed in the Song Dynasty, it has a history spanning over 1,000 years. Its halls are concentrated on the mountain top, featuring well-preserved structures like the Tianwang Hall and Daxiong Hall amid bamboo groves and ancient trees. It is also a protected cultural site, designated as a National Key Buddhist Temple
