What's Included
Meeting and pickup
If coming by subway, use Exit 12 of the Chunichi Building, directly connected to Sakae Station. Walk straight with Naka Ward Office on your right. Our office is on the 6th floor of the building with a Lawson. Use the rear entrance (not the Lawson entrance) and take the elevator to the 6th floor.
What to expect
In this hands-on workshop, learn traditional Japanese bookbinding and create your own handmade book using beautiful Japanese washi paper. Choose from a selection of patterned papers to reflect your personal style. Additional patterns may be available beyond those shown in the photos.
Your instructor will guide you step by step through binding the pages and cover using this traditional technique. No sewing skills are required, making it ideal for beginners.
Use your finished book to collect stamps from your travels around Japan, keep notes and sketches, or create a personal travel journal. You can even collect temple and shrine stamps during your journey.
The workshop is just a 5-minute walk from Sakae Station, in the heart of Nagoya's shopping and entertainment district. It's an ideal activity between shopping, sightseeing, or exploring the city.
