On the Bonnie Bonnie banks of Loch Lomond will be our first stop at the picturesque village of Luss, known for its 18th & 19th century cottages & floral displays, and television connections as the fictional village of Glendarroch in the long running soap Take the high road.
As we leave Luss we travel through the stunning trossachs and the national park loch side for a lot of the journey toward Rob Roy country, areas made famous by the outlaw including Tyndrum. We head southwards towards stunning Callander where we will stop for a spot of lunch, not before we’ve met some highland cows at kilmahog woollen mill.
On the edge of the national park and the gateway to the highlands is the charming town of Callander. A bustling town with many independent shops, cafes, restaurants, churches and river side area perfect for watching the world go by or feeding the ducks
900 year old Stirling is our next destination, rich in history we will make our way to Stirling castle with spectacular views across the river forth beyond to the ochil hills and the Wallace monument. You will have free time to explore the castle and the old town before making our way back to port.
