Travelers will easily identify their guide at the pickup location. Each guide will be holding a
clearly visible banner displaying the traveler’s name. Guides will also wear official
company attire (shirt or jacket) and carry company badges for easy recognition.
Upon arrival at Melchior Ndadaye International Airport, guests will be welcomed by our experienced tour guide and transferred to Hotel Club du Lac Tanganyika, a beautiful lakeside hotel located on the shores of Lake Tanganyika. If time allows (depending on arrival time), guests will enjoy a short city tour of Bujumbura to discover some of the city's historical monuments and landmarks while learning about the culture and daily life of Burundi.
We take you deeper into Burundi’s history and culture. At the beginning of the day, we drive to visit Kwa Miganda Eco-cultural Heritage center, a meaningful cultural site that gives insight into the country’s past
Then, you’ll experience a very emotional and powerful moment at the Buta Martyrs Shrine, a place of remembrance and unity that leaves a lasting impression.
After breakfast, guests explore the Bururi Natural Reserve for an exciting chimpanzee trekking experience. Guided by experienced rangers, visitors walk through the mountainous forest in search of chimpanzees while observing birds, monkeys and unique plant species.
In the afternoon, guests drive to Rumonge and the afternoon is dedicated to relaxation on the beautiful beaches of Lake Tanganyika. Guests can swim, walk along the shore, ride boats or simply enjoy the peaceful scenery.
In the morning, guests return to Bujumbura and are transferred to the airport for departure, taking home unforgettable memories of Burundi’s culture, landscapes and warm hospitality.
