Guests will spend up to five unforgettable hours exploring the Cradle Mountain–Lake St Clair National Park, focusing on the iconic Cradle Mountain and Dove Lake area. During this time, you can choose your own pace — explore independently or join your knowledgeable Driver-Guide on some of the region’s most scenic walking trails. Options include gentle lakeside walks around Dove Lake, hikes to elevated lookouts with sweeping alpine views, visits to the Interpretation Centre, or simply relaxing and taking in the scenery. If you prefer a quieter moment, you can also unwind at Cradle Mountain Lodge, perhaps by the fire, surrounded by mountain wilderness. This tour is designed as a true “Big Day Out” — perfect for nature lovers who want to experience one of Tasmania’s most remote and spectacular destinations without the need for overnight stays, extra luggage, or accommodation costs.
