江戸時代、日本には「贅沢をしてはいけない」という「ぜいたくを禁じる法律」がありました。
その頃の将軍は、和歌山藩主から八代将軍となった徳川吉宗です。
華やかな髪飾りが禁止される中、町人たちは機転を利かせました。
「これは飾りではありません。耳掃除の道具です。」
そう言って、かんざしの先に耳かきを付けたという逸話が今も語り継がれています。役人と町人の知恵比べから生まれた、江戸らしい粋な遊び心でした。
やがて耳かきは、耳をきれいにする道具であるだけでなく、人と人とのふれあいを生み、心まで癒やす日本独自の文化へと発展していきます。
このツアーでは、まずお好きな浴衣または着物に着替えます。
その後、レトロな雰囲気が残る商店街を散策しながら、紀州徳川家ゆかりの和歌山城へ向かいます。和歌山の歴史に思いを馳せながら歩けば、江戸時代とのつながりをより身近に感じられるでしょう。
歴史ある和歌山城で思い出の写真を撮影した後は、日本ならではの癒やし文化を現代に受け継ぐ「イヤーエステ」をご体験いただきます。
