Offered in: English

Hike into the Korouoma canyon on this small-group day trip (max 8 guests) from Rovaniemi and see giant frozen waterfalls and huge walls of blue and white ice up close, a winter sight most visitors to Lapland never get to see. After pickup from your accommodation, enjoy a scenic drive of about 1 h 30 min through snowy forests. Your local guide leads a relaxed, approximately 5 km hike along the canyon trail, adjusting the pace to the group, with ice grips provided for safe walking. Meet the friendly Siberian jay, a symbol of good luck in Lapland, and with a bit of luck feed it right from your hand. Warm up by the campfire with grilled sausages and hot drinks before returning to Rovaniemi.

The tour is personally guided by the owners of a small local company, with no outsourced guides. Perfect for nature lovers, photographers, couples and active families who want to experience a quieter, more authentic side of Lapland away from the crowds.
