Meeting and pickup
Pickup and drop-off are included anywhere on Tromsø island. Choose your option at booking:
1) Standard meeting point – The Dock 69°39 by Scandic, Tromsø.
2) Custom pickup – from your hotel, apartment or Airbnb on Tromsø island. Please enter the full address at booking.
Your exact pickup time is confirmed by your guide on the day, based on the evening's weather and solar forecasts.
IMPORTANT – bring your passport or national ID. On some nights your guide chases clear skies all the way to the Finnish border and may cross into Finland for the best Northern Lights conditions.
The tour usually lasts 5–7 hours depending on conditions. Please be ready outside 5 minutes before pickup, dressed in warm layers (wool or thermal base layers), wool socks, gloves, a warm hat and sturdy winter shoes.

IMPORTANT: Always bring your passport or national ID card – the chase may cross the border into Finland. Make your Northern Lights dream come true on a private aurora hunt from Tromsø. With your own local guide, you leave the city lights behind and follow the aurora to where the sky is clearest. No two tours are the same. Every evening, your guide plans a new route based on the latest weather, cloud cover and aurora activity. It may lead to the fjords of Kvaløya, the Lyngen Alps and Skibotn Valley, or into Finland. The pace is adapted to your group. Warm up with locally brewed coffee or blackcurrant juice and Norwegian snacks while your guide shares stories of Arctic life and tips for spotting the lights. Within 72 hours you receive a private digital album of professional photos from your night. The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and sightings cannot be guaranteed.
