  After exploring the colorful markets and tasting local flavors at La Vega Central, we’ll take a well-deserved lunch break at one of the most authentic and welcoming restaurants in the area — La Vega Chica. Here you’ll sit back, relax, and enjoy a delicious tasting of Chile’s most traditional and iconic dishes, freshly prepared with local ingredients. It’s the perfect moment to unwind, share stories, and pair your meal with an ice-cold local beer or two while soaking in the true spirit of Chilean culture.

  Next Stop – La Piojera: After our lunch break, we’ll continue to one of Santiago’s most legendary landmarks — La Piojera, the oldest bar in the city, founded in 1896. This iconic spot is a true piece of Chilean history, famous for its vibrant atmosphere and its signature drink, the Terremoto — a sweet, powerful cocktail that every visitor must try! Here you’ll have the chance to experience it just like the locals do, surrounded by music, laughter, and the authentic spirit of Chile. It’s an unmissable stop and one of the most traditional bars in the country.

  Next, we’ll head to Mercado Central, a magnificent iron structure brought from England in 1872. This historic market is one of Santiago’s most beautiful architectural landmarks, featuring an elegant water fountain at its center and a lively atmosphere filled with local flavors and traditions. It’s a wonderful place to walk around, take a few photos, and enjoy the authentic charm of everyday Chilean life.

  Plaza de Armas

  Final Stops – Plaza de Armas, Traditional Desserts & Lapis Lazuli Jewelry: On our way to the final stop, Plaza de Armas — the heart of Santiago — we’ll enjoy a taste of Chile’s favorite traditional dessert: mote con huesillo, a refreshing combination of cooked wheat and dried peaches served in a sweet, chilled syrup. It’s one of the country’s most beloved treats and a must-try for any visitor. At the Plaza, you’ll also have the chance to taste a scoop of lucuma ice cream, made from a unique native fruit found only in Chile, known for its smooth, caramel-like flavor. We’ll end our experience at a local jewelry gallery where artisans sell pieces made with lapis lazuli, Chile’s national gemstone. This is where locals shop — with prices nearly half of what you’d find in tourist areas or airports — making it the perfect way to finish our tour with a beautiful and authentic souvenir of Chile.
