At the Kyoto Sumo Club enjoy an entertaining introduction to sumo history and culture while savoring an authentic sumo-style meal with All-You-Can-Eat & All-You-Can-Drink.

The show begins with a traditional geisha dance, followed by live demonstrations of morning exercises, classic techniques, and sumo etiquette. Then, watch a best-of-three match between retired professional sumo wrestlers.

You can also step into the ring and challenge a wrestler.
※Challenger spots are limited; if there are too many applicants, participants will be chosen by lottery.

A shorter 1-hour sumo show for guests who want the excitement of sumo late at night without the full dinner program. This plan includes All-You-Can-Drink service.

    "Dec. 03 2025 New OPEN!!!" The wildly popular Asakusa Sumo Club in Tokyo's Asakusa district opens its first sumo show restaurant in the heart of Kyoto!!!! Immerse yourself in the world of sumo wrestling at the Kyoto Sumo Club. Begin with a traditional Japanese dance performed by a geisha in an elegant kimono, setting the tone for the sumo show. Watch live demonstrations of morning exercises, learn classic sumo techniques, and discover the essential do’s and don’ts of sumo wrestling. Then, enjoy a best-of-three match between retired professional sumo wrestlers. Step into the ring and challenge one of the sumo wrestlers. Challenger spots are limited per show. If there are too many applicants, participants will be selected by lottery. Enjoy an all-you-can-eat meal with Chanko-nabe (chicken hot pot), a traditional sumo-style dish. After the show, take home a souvenir gift bag, a perfect memory of your sumo experience.
