  Grecia Cultural Visit – Metallic Church & Central Park During our stop in Grecia, guests enjoy a guided cultural visit to one of Costa Rica’s most iconic landmarks: the Metallic Church of Grecia (Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes). Our bilingual guide will explain the history and story behind this unique structure, including how the church was manufactured in Belgium in the late 19th century and later shipped and assembled in Costa Rica as a gift from Belgium. The guide will also share interesting facts about its architecture, cultural importance, and why it is considered a national treasure. Guests will have time to: Take photos of the church’s striking red metal exterior Enter the church to admire its interior and learn more about its design Visit the central park of Grecia, a charming and well-maintained area surrounded by local life, shops, and greenery

  Baldi Hot Springs

  1. Enjoy the Thermal Pools 25+ naturally heated mineral-rich pools with a wide range of temperatures (from comfortably warm to very hot). Pools are arranged throughout lush tropical gardens and often have waterfall features and scenic landscaping. Some pools are large enough for relaxing with friends, others are quieter spots for soaking and unwinding. 2. Water Slides & Play Areas Baldi has several thrilling water slides that drop you into the pools below — these range from fun to very fast and exciting.   Traditional Oxcart Craftsmanship Watch how traditional hand-made oxcarts (called carretas), a national symbol of Costa Rica, are crafted using age-old techniques. See artisans shape wooden wheels — made from woods like cedar and laurel — and fit them with metal rims without modern fasteners. ️ Historic Production Methods Explore parts of the factory where traditional tools and even old water-powered machinery are still used to run saws and lathes, giving you a glimpse into how these carts were made for over a century. Cultural Experience It’s a great photo opportunity and cultural stop, especially if you’re interested in traditional crafts and Costa Rican heritage.
