Begin your adventure with an early pickup from your hotel in Marrakech at 7:30 a.m. Travel comfortably in an air-conditioned vehicle as we cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains. We’ll make a relaxing stop for coffee and a bathroom break at a scenic viewpoint before continuing toward Morocco’s highest mountain pass at 2,262 meters. Enjoy panoramic views and unique landscapes as we descend toward the desert region.
Explore the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou with a local guide included. Walk through its ancient earthen alleys, learn about its role in caravan trade routes, and discover why it has been featured in iconic films such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Travel along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs until reaching Kelaat M’gouna, the capital of Morocco’s rose production. Here, we take a short break at a local café. Learn about the region’s annual Rose Festival and enjoy the peaceful surroundings before driving toward the Dades Valley.
Arrive in the breathtaking Dades Valley and marvel at its dramatic cliffs, lush vegetation, and traditional Berber villages. We will visit the famous Tisdrine viewpoint, offering stunning panoramic views of the winding zigzag road. Afterwards, settle into a comfortable guesthouse with a private bathroom. Enjoy a Moroccan dinner and relax in the peaceful mountain setting.
After enjoying breakfast at your guesthouse, we begin our journey toward the Sahara. Travel through the picturesque town of Tinghir and along the lush Todra Valley, known for its palm groves, Berber villages, and dramatic landscapes.
Arrive at the magnificent Todra Gorge, one of Morocco’s most spectacular natural sights. Walk between towering canyon walls that reach up to 300 meters high and enjoy time to explore, take photos, or simply appreciate the breathtaking scenery. After your visit, we stop for lunch before continuing toward the desert.
On our way, we’ll pass through Erfoud, known as Morocco’s capital of palm dates and fossils.
Continue the journey through Tinjdad and Erfoud until we reach Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara. Here, your camel awaits for a memorable ride across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. As the sun sets, arrive at your luxury Berber desert camp, where you’ll enjoy a traditional dinner, music under the stars, and a peaceful night in a comfortable glamping-style tent.
Start your final day early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the golden dunes of Merzouga. After enjoying this magical moment, return to the camp for a hearty breakfast and time to freshen up. Once ready, embark on a morning camel trek across the dunes, taking in the peaceful desert landscape one last time. Afterwards, we begin our journey back toward Marrakech, with several stops along the way for rest, photos, and refreshments.
