Conquering the top of the Ilamatepec volcano is an experience that redefines true greatness.
Start with pickup from your hotel in San Salvador, to head towards Casa Cristal, where the certified guide will be waiting to start the hike at 7:30 am. Throughout the tour, you will have the time to appreciate each landscape, learn about the history and geology of the volcano, and live an authentic experience surrounded by nature.
After the descent, the experience is enhanced with a touch of sophistication as we head to Los Volcanes Bistro Café, where you can enjoy an exceptional lunch or coffee in a unique natural setting (lunch/coffee not included).

If you wish, we can pick you up at the Shell Gas Station, Los Heroes. The guide will be waiting for you with a Wonderland Expedition sign, such as a Black T-shirt or a gray T-shirt with the company logo.

This expedition takes you through paths that wind through the vegetation to reach the crater, where a lagoon of a vibrant turquoise and the endless Pacific horizon await you as a reward. Starting the hike at 7:30am, from Casa de Cristal, the duration of the climbing tour is about 1 1/2 hours, although it may vary depending on the pace of the group. During the walk, we will cross 3 unique ecosystems, each with its own viewpoint: Cloud Forest ️ Altimontano moor (high mountain ecosystem) Volcanic Casting (rock formations created by solidified lava) When you reach the top, you will be rewarded with spectacular views of the crater and the volcanic landscapes that surround you.

After descending, we will head to lunch at Los Volcanes Bistro Café, a cosy and picturesque restaurant in the Cerro Verde area, where you can relax, enjoy a delicious coffee (not included) and capture unique moments in an unparalleled environment.
