    Diani – Tsavo East National Park

    The safari begins with an early morning pick-up from Diani Bazaar, followed by a scenic drive inland towards Tsavo East National Park. The journey takes you through rural landscapes and small towns before arriving at the park’s main gate late in the morning.

    Tsavo National Park East

    Upon entry, you will enjoy your first game drive en route to the lodge, with chances to spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and a variety of birdlife. After checking in at the lodge or camp, lunch will be served, followed by some time to relax and enjoy the wilderness surroundings.

    In the late afternoon, you will head out for an evening game drive, exploring areas around the Aruba Dam and Galana River, which attract large numbers of wildlife, especially elephants. As the sun sets, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay in Tsavo East.

    After an early breakfast, you will depart Tsavo East with a short morning game drive as you exit the park, continuing your safari experience as you head towards Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. You will then check in at the iconic Salt Lick Safari Lodge, in time for lunch. The afternoon is spent at leisure, allowing you to relax at the lodge and watch animals visiting nearby waterholes. Later in the evening, you will enjoy another game drive within the sanctuary before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight in Taita Hills. The drive offers beautiful views of rolling hills and dramatic landscapes. Upon arrival in Taita Hills, you will enjoy a game drive within the sanctuary, which is known for its rich wildlife and fewer crowds. Animals commonly seen here include elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes, with excellent opportunities for birdwatching.

You will then begin your journey back to the coast, driving through scenic countryside as you head back to Diani Bazaar. A lunch stop will be made en route, arriving in Diani in the late afternoon or early evening, marking the end of an unforgettable Tsavo East and Taita Hills safari adventure.
