Depending on the location of your accommodation, you will be given instructions on how to get to the meeting point.
From the point of arrival I will give instructions to each pilgrimage on how to continue the journey, depending on where they intend to go. I will only follow in case you return to the city of Porto.
Activity: Free breakfast for last Shopping or quick visit. Private or race train/bus transport from Porto to Tui (Spain). Arrival at Tui, check-in at the accommodation and preparation for the walk. Possibility to explore the border city and its cathedral.
Kms: ~13 km Activity: Start the walk, crossing the international bridge over the river Minho. The route is relatively flat and passes through urban and rural areas.
Kms: ~15 km Activity: Walk through rural landscapes and some stretches of forest. Arriving in Redondela offers views of the river de Vigo.
Kms: ~18 km Activity: A stage with some ups and downs, passing Arcade and Pontesampaio, with the famous Roman bridge. Pontevedra is a vibrant city with a charming historic centre.
Kms: ~23 km Activity: Longer stage, with trails through forests and vineyards. Caldas de Reis is known for its thermal waters.
Kms ~19 km Activity: Walk through rural landscapes, with the arrival of Padrón, famous for its peppers and the legend of the boat of Santiago.
Kms ~25 km Activity: The final and most exciting stage. The path becomes more urban as you approach Santiago. Arriving at the Praça do Obradoiro and the Cathedral is a moment of great emotion.
Activity: Morning to explore Santiago, attend the Mass of the Pilgrim, visit the Cathedral and collect the Compostela. Goodbye lunch. Transfer to Santiago Airport (SCQ) or to Porto, depending on the return flight.
