What to expect
During this intimate blindfold wine tasting, guests explore a selection of wines while blindfolded, focusing entirely on aroma, texture, and flavour. Guided by sommelier and wine educator John McTavish, you’ll learn how professional tasters evaluate wine and how removing visual cues can dramatically change the way you experience it.
Without seeing the bottle or colour of the wine, guests rely on smell and taste to describe what they perceive. Is it fruity or earthy? Light or powerful? Can you guess the grape variety or where the wine comes from?
Once everyone has shared their impressions, the blindfolds come off and the wines are revealed — often with surprising results.
