Next you choose between 2 locations:
1. The awe-inspiring Redwood Forest; Experience the cool and calm created by this unique ecosystem, either on the ground, or by upgrading to the Canopy Treetop Walk: Traversing the swing bridges and walkways high in the forest
2. For those who want something a bit more luxurious, there is also the option to take time out in a private forest hot tub (extra charge), complete with drinks on tap!

Please don't worry about published start and end times published here- we know when your ship is in and will confirm start and end times with you once you book. We have timed all our trips to suit your ship.
We will collect you from the Cruise Port at the stated time on your booking. Find us by the flagpole just outside the port exit. We will have a whiteboard with A Day in the Bay on it and your booking name.

1Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland
Our experienced guide shows you through what we believe is the very best of New Zealand's geothermal experiences- The amazing Wai-o-Tapu Geothermal Wonderland. Take time to explore this dramatic and beautiful park, and witness the famous Lady Knox Geyser, shooting more than 10M in the air. Enjoy lunch at your own cost at the cafe here, before we head to the boiling mud pools close by. Wonder at the size, sound and smells of this amazing natural phenomenon before we head off to our next stop.

2Redwoods Treewalk
Next we visit the awe-inspiring Redwood Forest. Be astounded by the size of the trees and enjoy being at one with nature in this stunning area. For those who want a free option, take a ground walk to experience the cool and calm created by this unique ecosystem. For those who choose the tree walk optional upgrade: Get up into the trees by choosing to do the optional Canopy Treetop Walk. Traverse the swing bridges and walkways high in the forest, and learn more about the history and unique importance of this special forest. This is an outstanding activity, and one of our absolute favourites in the region. Extra admission charge applies on the day.

For those more keen on a little luxury quiet time, we will take you to Secret Spot Hot Tubs. Take time out and rest at this outstanding location. Buy a drink and soak your feet in the "shinny dips" for free, or choose to upgrade with a private forest spa, complete with drinks on tap! What a way to wind up your day in nature! Cold plunges and saunas are another great option for you to try. Extra admission charge applies for the upgraded options but the shinny dips are free.

Rotorua (Pass by)
During the drive from the Port to Rotorua, enjoy a stunning journey through the kiwifruit capital of the world, see hectares of kiwifruit orchards, and drive past stunning lakes and forests. Hear about the history and culture of New Zealand and this region in particular. Enjoy a quick city tour of the stunning Mount Maunganui area, and once back after your day of adventure, we can drop you either straight to the port, or to the main Mount Maunganui beach.
