Explore the Cape Whale Coast on this full-day shared whale watching and penguin tour from Cape Town. Your day begins with pickup from selected accommodations, followed by a scenic drive to Hermanus, where ocean and mountain views set the tone.
After a safety briefing from a whale specialist, board your boat for a whale watching cruise with the chance to spot Southern Right, Humpback whales, dolphins, and more. Enjoy light refreshments after the cruise before heading to Betty's Bay to visit the Stony Point Penguin Colony, home to endangered African penguins.
You'll have time to stop for lunch at a local restaurant before continuing the scenic drive back to Cape Town.

What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Your tour guide will meet you directly at your selected pickup location. Please wait at the main entrance or reception area of your accommodation. The guide will contact you by phone or WhatsApp once they arrive and will identify themselves as your Aksanti Tours guide.
What to expect
At Hermanus New Harbour, you'll get a short safety and whale briefing before heading out on a specially designed catamaran for a 2-hour cruise. Southern right whales are the stars of the show, with humpback and Bryde's whales also possible depending on the season. Keep an eye out too for dolphins, Cape fur seals, African penguins, and seabirds, with your onboard guide offering commentary along the way.
Back on shore, you'll have some free time to explore Hermanus before rejoining the shared transfer for the return drive to Cape Town.
