Cano Island offers the ultimate snorkeling experience in Costa Rica's pristine waters, renowned for vibrant marine life and stunning coral reefs. Led by a bilingual naturalist guide, this day-long tour (7-8 hours) provides an enriching journey through the beautiful Caño Island Biological Reserve and Marino Ballena National Park.

What's Included
Meeting and pickup
The meeting point is located next to the elementary school “La Flor de Bahía” and diagonally across from Tatina Supermarket, in Bahía Ballena, Uvita. Our staff will be waiting at the meeting point to assist travelers with check-in. GPS coordinates: N 09.15888, W 83.74178.
What to expect
The boat departs at 7:30 AM from Uvita Beach for an approximately 1.5-hour boat ride to Caño Island. During the journey, there is a chance to spot dolphins, sea turtles, and whales (seasonal).
Upon arrival, guests will enjoy two guided snorkeling sessions at different locations, selected by the captain and guides based on sea conditions. Each session lasts approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on visibility and participant ability.
After snorkeling, there will be time to relax on the beach (30–40 minutes). Snacks and fresh fruit will be provided, followed by a marine life briefing from the guide. The tour concludes with a return boat ride to Uvita Beach, with additional wildlife spotting opportunities along the way.
Lunch included, served on board or upon return to Uvita Beach. Restroom access is available on the island during beach time
