    Bogd Khaan Palace Museum of Mongolia

    Bogd Khaan Palace Museum Built between 1893 and 1903, the Bogd Khan Winter Palace Complex is one of the few Mongolian historical sites that survived the Soviet and Communist eras. The complex includes the Winter Palace, the Gate of Peace and Happiness, the Cooling Pavilion, and six temples such as Naidan and Makhranz, showcasing Buddhist art, scriptures, and thangkas. Today, the museum houses around 8,600 exhibits, including the Bogd Khan’s throne, bed, ceremonial ger, gifts from Tsar Nicholas II, and unique royal artifacts.

    Zaisan Hill Monument in Ulaanbaatar Located in southern Ulaanbaatar, the Zaisan Memorial features the Mongolian Soyombo and Soviet Hammer and Sickle symbols, honoring Soviet soldiers.
