1Tule Tree
The Tule Tree is a natural monument located in Santa Maria del Tule, Oaxaca, famous for having the widest trunk in the world, with a diameter of more than 14 meters and a circumference exceeding 58 meters. This majestic ahuehuete (Mexican cypress) is approximately 2,000 years old and capable of shading about 500 people at a time. Part of its appeal lies in the natural figures that guides help identify in their bark (such as elephants or crocodiles) and in the Zapotec legend that attributes its plantation to a priest of the god of the wind, Ehécatl.

2Teotitlan del Valle
Discover Zapotec art in a family workshop where wool mats are made with natural dyes such as grana cochineal. In addition, you will know the delicate tradition of shell candles, hand-decorated beeswax masterpieces that are symbolic of identity at local festivities.

3Hierve el Agua
