Discover Mexico City’s contemporary art scene on a walking gallery-hopping tour through San Miguel Chapultepec, one of the city’s oldest and most architecturally charming neighborhoods. Home to both internationally recognized galleries and independent spaces, the area offers a unique concentration of art all within walking distance.
We begin with coffee at a local café, where guests can enjoy a pastry or breakfast before we set off. From there, we move gallery to gallery, exploring rotating exhibitions and getting to know each space and its current program. Every tour is different, shaped by what is on view at the moment.
As a curator who has worked with several of the galleries we visit, I share a personal connection to the neighborhood and its art scene, creating a relaxed space to look closely, ask questions, and talk about art and ideas. The tour ends back at the café, perfect for continuing the conversation over great food.

The gallery has exhibited many of Mexico’s most important artists while continuing to support new generations, creating a dialogue between artistic legacy and current practice. Having curated an exhibition here in 2024 for an English sculptor, I share a close connection with the space, offering a more personal perspective as we experience the gallery together.
