What to expect

Travelers are picked up in Merzouga in the early afternoon and taken to the departure point. After meeting the camel handler, luggage and camping equipment are loaded onto the camels, and a 45 to 60 minute camel trek leads into the dunes. Upon arrival in a quiet desert area, the bivouac is set up, and travelers can take part in preparing the camp and dinner.

Before sunset, travelers climb a nearby dune to watch the sunset, then return to the camp for Moroccan tea, dinner, and an overnight stay in a wild desert bivouac under the stars. At sunrise, there is free time in the desert before returning by camel. Breakfast is served at a hotel in Merzouga, with access to showers and the pool.
