This experience stands out for its strict commitment to ethical elephant care, observation-only interaction, and genuine conservation impact. Instead of riding or bathing activities, travelers learn about the elephants’ rescue stories and see how they thrive in a natural, low-stress environment.

Guides from the local hill tribe share their deep knowledge of elephant behavior, emotional cues, and welfare practices as guests observe the elephants calmly exploring the forest from a safe distance.

The tour also includes a hands-on conservation activity—planting sugarcane or banana trees—to support the elephants’ daily diet. This simple but meaningful act allows visitors to contribute directly to the animals’ long-term wellbeing.

This 2-hour experience focuses on ethical observation, education, and conservation. Your visit begins with an introduction to the sanctuary’s rescued elephants, where you’ll learn about their backgrounds, rescue journeys, and how they now live in a peaceful, natural environment. You will then join an observation-based walk along a forest trail, keeping a safe and respectful distance as the elephants roam, forage, and interact naturally with their caretakers. Our hill tribe guides explain elephant behavior, daily routines, and how we ensure each animal’s wellbeing without riding, bathing, or direct contact. The visit concludes with a conservation activity where guests help plant sugarcane or banana trees—important food sources for the elephants. This meaningful contribution supports their long-term nutrition and aligns with the sanctuary’s sustainability efforts.
