This surfing lesson offers a safe, fun and personalized introduction to surfing on one of the best beaches in Peru. Whether you’re a first on a board or want to improve your technique, you’ll receive hands-on instruction from local instructors with experience and extensive knowledge of sea conditions.

All equipment is included, so you’ll just need to focus on enjoying yourself while learning the basics of surfing in a relaxed and friendly environment.

I accompany you to surf friendly and fun waves while connecting with the natural environment and marine biodiversity of the Grau Tropical Sea National Reserve.

The beach offers constant waves suitable for beginners, making it an ideal place to learn to surf.

Photos and/or videos are offered so you can take unforgettable memories of your first waves.

Classes are available in Spanish and English.

Pickup details:

We'll meet at the Surf Hills Condominium gatehouse. It's on the left side of the Takaynamo Hotel, with your back to the sea.

Next to the Takaynamo Hotel there's a gate and a sign that says Surf Hills. At the checkpoint.

This activity ends back at the meeting point.

What to expect

The activity begins with a brief theoretical introduction on the beach, where you'll learn about safety, reading the waves, positioning on the board, and basic techniques. Then we move into the water for guided practice, always accompanied by an instructor who will help you step by step until you can stand up on the wave. Lessons are held at Punta Veleros beach, with ideal waves for learning, in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
