Gobustan Rock Art is one of the most remarkable prehistoric cultural sites in the world, located in the Gobustan region of Azerbaijan, about 60 kilometers southwest of Baku. The site contains thousands of rock carvings, known as petroglyphs, created by ancient humans over a period spanning more than 12,000 years, from the Late Stone Age to the Middle Ages.
