Itinerary

Duration: 7 hours 30 minutes (approximately)
  • The Palace Complex of Ak-Saray (Pass by)

Stand beneath Ak-Saray, the “White Palace” that Amir Timur built to show the world his power. The ruler who crushed armies from India to the Ottoman Empire wanted a gate so huge that ambassadors would feel small before they entered. Today, the giant towers still rise about 38 meters, once reaching far higher. Hear the story, admire the tilework, and take photos beside Timur’s statue

  • Statue of Amir Timur (Pass by)

Stand before the monument of Amir Timur in his hometown, Shakhrisabz. Built after independence under Uzbekistan’s first president, Islam Karimov, to honor Timur’s spirit, the statue shows the great ruler standing proudly in front of the giant gate towers of Ak-Saray. Take photos with the “White Palace” behind him, and feel the pride of the city where the conqueror was born

  • Dorut Tilovat (Pass by)

Step into Dorut Tilovat, the “House of Meditation”, a peaceful complex of mosques and mausoleums from the time of Timur and his grandson Ulugbek. Walk among turquoise domes and ancient brick, see the Kok Gumbaz Mosque and the mausoleum linked to Timur’s spiritual teacher, and feel the quiet atmosphere of a place where the rulers of Shakhrisabz once came to pray and remember their ancestors.
