The trek ascends gradually through Tikhedhunga and traditional Magar villages before tackling the famous Ulleri stone staircase—over 3,000 steps carved into the mountainside. Though challenging, the climb is incredibly rewarding, ending in the charming village of Ulleri, surrounded by mountain landscapes and fresh alpine air.
Your journey begins with a comfortable morning pickup from your hotel in Pokhara. Enjoy a scenic drive along rivers, farmlands, and hillside villages as you travel toward Nayapul, the gateway to the Annapurna region. Today’s trail winds through dense rhododendron forests, especially vibrant in spring, with waterfalls, wooden bridges, and quiet mountain paths. Passing Bhanthanti and Nangethanti, you’ll steadily climb toward Ghorepani, a historic trading village. On clear days, enjoy stunning views of Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), one of the world’s highest peaks.
Before sunrise, hike to Poon Hill—one of Nepal’s most iconic viewpoints. Watch as golden light illuminates the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, including Machhapuchhre (Fishtail). This unforgettable moment is the highlight of the trek and a photographer’s dream.
After breakfast, descend through enchanting rhododendron and oak forests, following streams and waterfalls toward Ghandruk. This beautifully preserved Gurung village offers stone houses, cultural museums, and close‑up views of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli. It’s a perfect blend of nature, culture, and Himalayan life.
