The guide will meet the customer at Kileleni Lodge or at the hotel specified by the customer during booking. The guide will introduce themselves upon arrival and confirm the lead traveler’s name to ensure a smooth and easy meeting.
After registration at Londorossi Gate, you drive to the trailhead and begin hiking through lush rainforest. This quiet area is rich in birdlife and occasional wildlife sightings. Hiking time: 3–4 hours
The forest gradually thins as you climb onto the Shira Plateau, opening wide views and moorland scenery. The steady ascent helps with acclimatisation. Hiking time: 5–6 hours
A relaxed trek across the plateau allows further altitude adaptation while enjoying panoramic views of Kibo Peak and the surrounding landscapes. Hiking time: 4–5 hours
An important acclimatisation day following the “climb high, sleep low” principle. After reaching Lava Tower, you descend into the beautiful Barranco Valley. Hiking time: 6–8 hours
You begin the day by climbing the famous Barranco Wall, a non-technical but exciting scramble. The trail then continues across ridges and valleys to Karanga Camp. Hiking time: 4–5 hours
