Not everyone wants a hardcore, all-day fishing mission. Coastal Catch and Cruise is a relaxed 4-hour “try-it-without-the-grind” experience that mixes sightseeing with a casual, guided catch session.
Departing from a central downtown Vancouver marina, you’ll cruise toward the West Vancouver Lighthouse area for scenic coastline views and hands-on fun: flounder fishing, plus Dungeness crab and spot prawns (where permitted and conditions allow).
You’ll ride on a 3-Star boat with practical comfort for real time on the water—an enclosed cabin/helm, comfortable seating, an enclosed restroom, basic galley function, and weather protection to keep the trip enjoyable if wind or spray picks up.
Meet at Blackfish Marine, 1815 Maritime Mews, Vancouver, BC V6H 3W7. A staff member will meet you there. Please arrive 10–15 min early since the boat departs on time. Thank you.
Board at Granville Island and cruise out with views of the public market waterfront, marinas, and colourful houseboats—an iconic Vancouver start before heading into False Creek.
Glide through False Creek’s calm inner waters, passing waterfront parks, modern glass towers, and lively marina scenes—great for relaxed sightseeing and photos without open-ocean chop.
Cruise beneath the Burrard Bridge for a classic “city-from-the-water” moment, with skyline framing on both sides and a clear transition from False Creek toward the open bay.
Enter English Bay for wide-open ocean views, sea breeze, and Vancouver’s best skyline-and-mountain backdrop—often the most photogenic stretch of the route.
Follow the West Vancouver coastline past forested headlands and waterfront homes, with rugged rocky edges and a distinctly West Coast feel as you approach the lighthouse area.
Cruise past Stanley Park’s iconic seawall and forested shoreline for classic West Coast scenery—mountain backdrops, open-water views, and one of Vancouver’s most photogenic waterfront stretches.
Arrive near Lighthouse Park for the signature coastal scenery—rocky shoreline, evergreen forest backdrop, and lighthouse-area viewpoints from the water. This is your main “destination zone” before turning back.
