Fishing on the Genkai Sea and Gastronomic Tasting Course

In this two-part experience, first hop aboard a fishing boat and head out into the abundant waters around Shikanoshima Island. Under the guidance of an experienced fisherman, learn how to cast and fish.

After the fishing experience, the afternoon is open for guests to explore the island on their own. (Transportation is not provided.)

Later in the evening, settle down for a cozy meal at a local restaurant that is famous for its aged-fish dishes. During the course meal, the fish caught in the morning will be served alongside carefully aged fish. Savor the different flavors and textures in this exciting, one-of-a-kind gastronomic experience.

* Morning Fishing: Depart between 6-8 am.
* Evening dinner: Starts at 6 pm
* Transportation is not included.

* The tour may be cancelled due to inclement weather.
* Participants must be elementary school age or older. Those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
* As this is an early morning program, we recommend staying overnight in the Shikanoshima/Saitozaki areas.
