This experience begins with a single, approachable surf stop in Pacifica, then opens into a thoughtfully paced journey along the Northern California coast. Rather than following a rigid checklist, the day unfolds based on conditions, timing, and the natural rhythm of the coastline. Guests experience dramatic headlands, coastal wetlands, historic landmarks, and relaxed food and drink pauses along the way.
Select stops are optional and curated. These may include a visit to a working goat farm in Pescadero, where guests can meet the animals and purchase locally made goat cheese and honey. The emphasis is not on covering as much ground as possible, but on experiencing the coast as locals do—unhurried, immersive, and grounded in place.
Meet outside the Taco Bell Cantina at 5200 CA-1, Pacifica. Your guide will be waiting nearby with a light blue vintage Volkswagen bus. Your guide will be waiting nearby for check-in before departure.

Pass through the Devil’s Slide Tunnels, where Highway 1 was carved directly into the cliffs to bypass one of the most dangerous coastal roads in California, opening sweeping views of the Pacific below.
Here the coast opens up. Rugged bluffs, wide beaches, coastal wetlands, historic landmarks, and working farms define this stretch of Highway 1. Stops vary with conditions and group interest and may include tide pools, scenic overlooks, historic sites, or local coastal favorites. This part of the tour is about seeing Northern California’s coastline as it actually is, raw, changing, and unforgettable.
Visit Pescadero Marsh Natural Preserve, the largest freshwater coastal marsh between San Francisco and Santa Cruz. Fed by Pescadero Creek before it reaches the ocean, the marsh offers quiet trails, open wetlands, and wildlife rarely seen along the open coast.
Stop at Bean Hollow State Beach for a relaxed coastal pause overlooking tide pools, bluff trails, and the open Pacific. While guests take in sweeping ocean views, fresh tacos are prepared on the grill and served at a simple table set above the shoreline, with waves, sea air, and wide-open horizon as the backdrop.
A relaxed coastal pause at Highway 1 Brewing Company to enjoy a craft beer, soak in wide ocean views, and reset as the day winds down along the Northern California coast.
