Our guides explain what causes the aurora, why it changes shape and color, and why Alaska is one of the best places on Earth to see it. When the lights appear, step outside to enjoy the show, gather around the fire, and capture the moment. Complimentary aurora portraits are included when conditions allow.

Meeting and pickup
Travel down Chena Hot Springs Road for 20 miles then turn right on Grange Hall Road and then right onto Baseline and go all the way to the end.
What to expect
Enjoy light refreshments as you wait, and take in the quiet beauty of Alaska’s night sky. Your guide will be there throughout the experience, watching the sky with you and sharing insights about the aurora so you can better understand what you’re seeing—not just witness it.
When the lights appear, you’ll have the freedom to step outside into open skies and fully take it in. We’ll also capture complimentary photos of you under the aurora, so you leave with more than just a memory—you leave with something you can hold onto.
This is a simple, stress-free way to experience one of nature’s greatest displays, designed to be personal, comfortable, and unforgettable from start to finish.
