Meeting and pickup
We provide private pickup from any hotel within the Chengdu city limits. The bilingual medical companion from China Healing Tourism will meet you directly in your hotel lobby at the scheduled start time. They will be holding a welcome sign with the lead traveler's name on it. Bottled water will be waiting for you in the vehicle. If you are delayed or need help locating your guide, we will contact you via the phone number, WeChat ID, or WhatsApp number provided during booking.
What to expect
During the private ride to the clinic, enjoy a brief introduction to the Taoist philosophy behind Chinese medicine, learning how concepts like Yin and Yang and Qi (vital energy) relate to your health.
Step 2: The Master TCM Consultation
Arrive at a premium, highly vetted traditional clinic. A master TCM doctor will perform an authentic health assessment by reading your pulse and examining your tongue. Your medical companion will sit beside you to translate every detail, decoding Eastern concepts into clear, understandable Western health insights.
Step 3: Personalized Healing Treatment
Based on your diagnosis, relax in a private, hygienic room for your chosen centuries-old therapy. You may choose Acupuncture (the use of painless, sterile needles to unblock your body's energy meridians) or Tuina (a fully-clothed, deep-tissue medical massage using targeted acupressure). Your guide remains available to ensure your complete comfort.
Step 4: Five Elements Tea Ceremony
Move to a relaxation area for a customized herbal tea ceremony. You will taste an infusion formulated specifically for your body's constitution.
