Portuguese Crochet and Granny Square Workshop in Ericeira

During this 3-hour workshop, travelers will learn the basics of traditional Portuguese crochet in a calm and welcoming creative studio in central Ericeira. The experience begins with a short introduction to the cultural role of crochet in Portugal, followed by a practical explanation of tools and materials.

Participants will learn how to hold the crochet hook and yarn correctly and practice essential stitches such as chain stitch, slip stitch, single crochet, and double crochet. With step-by-step guidance from an experienced instructor, they will move on to creating the classic granny square, learning how to build rounds, change colors, and keep even tension.
