You will ride a camel across the soft sands toward the dunes, enjoying the peaceful rhythm and wide-open views. Take in the beautiful contrast of desert, grassland, and mountains, and capture unforgettable photos in this serene natural setting. It’s a perfect short escape to experience the magic of the Gobi landscape in just few hours drive from Ulaanbaatar.

2Kharkhorin
After enjoying your camel ride across the dunes of Elsen Tasarkhai, we will drive for a little over an hour to your next destination, the historic town of Kharkhorin. Upon arrival, you will settle into your ger camp, relax, and enjoy a peaceful evening surrounded by the beautiful steppe landscape.

Visit Erdene Zuu Monastery, the oldest surviving Buddhist monastery in Mongolia, founded in 1586 near the site of ancient Karakorum.
