    Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine

Experience Fushimi Inari beyond simply walking through its famous red torii gates. Explore the iconic Senbon Torii with your guide while learning about Inari worship, the meaning of the thousands of gates, and why foxes are seen throughout the shrine. Continue to the inner shrine area and take part in traditional customs yourself. Make a personal wish and lift the Omokaru Stone—tradition says that if it feels lighter than you expected, your wish may come true. You’ll also receive a fox-shaped ema, where you can draw your own fox face and write a personal wish or message. Instead of only taking photos at one of Kyoto’s most famous landmarks, you’ll actively experience its traditions and discover the stories and beliefs behind Fushimi Inari.

    Fujinomori Shrine

Discover a quieter side of Kyoto at Fujinomori Shrine, a historic shrine with around 1,800 years of history and a strong connection to victory and horses. Here, you won’t just visit the shrine—you’ll take part in a local tradition by drawing water from “Fuji no Mizu,” its famous natural spring. The water rises from around 100 meters underground and is believed to bring good fortune and victory. Fill your cup, taste the fresh Kyoto spring water for yourself, and learn from your guide why natural water has long held a special place in Japanese shrine culture. It’s a simple, authentic experience that offers a glimpse into local Kyoto life away from the city’s major tourist sights.

    Tofuku-ji Temple

Step off your e-bike and cross Gaunkyo Bridge, one of Tofukuji’s three famous bridges. From the wooden bridge, look across the deep valley toward the elegant Tsutenkyo Bridge, surrounded by maple trees and changing seasonal scenery. In spring and summer, the valley is filled with fresh green leaves, while autumn brings some of Kyoto’s most spectacular colors. Enjoy a peaceful view of one of Kyoto’s historic Zen temple landscapes before continuing your ride south. It’s a short stop, but one that reveals a beautiful side of Kyoto that is easy to miss when traveling between the city’s major attractions.

Finish the tour with one of its most unique experiences: a visit to Sauna no Umeyu, a traditional neighborhood sento in Kyoto. Before entering, your guide will explain Japanese bathing etiquette and how to enjoy a public bath, making the experience comfortable even if it is your first time. Step inside, wash as locals do, and relax in the hot bath while experiencing a part of everyday Japanese culture that many visitors never get to try. This is not a spa visit, but a short and authentic introduction to Japan’s sento tradition. After cycling through Kyoto and exploring its shrines and local customs, soaking in a neighborhood bath is a memorable and relaxing way to complete the experience.
