Continue to Zhongshan Fourth Road, a beautiful tree-lined path that once witnessed the most glorious historical period of Chongqing. During WWII, Chongqing served as the temporary capital of China, and many historical events took place on this street. End your journey on the riverside plank road. It’s always a great escape from the city’s noise. Walk here to enjoy the riverside views and the passing metro. Lush plants, coiled roots are everywhere, and abandoned air-raid shelters hide secrets.
