Our first stop is the dramatic Black Rock Gorge, a deep, narrow canyon carved by the River Conon. This striking location is also known for its connection to the Harry Potter films, making it a popular and atmospheric place to visit and photograph.
Next, we visit the Fyrish Monument, perched high on Fyrish Hill. A short, scenic walk rewards us with panoramic views across the Cromarty Firth and surrounding Highland landscape. This is an excellent spot for photos and to appreciate the scale of the Highlands.
We continue to the beautiful Rogie Falls, where woodland trails and viewing platforms offer stunning views of the waterfalls. Depending on the season, you may even see salmon leaping upstream.
Our journey then takes us to the charming Black Isle town of Cromarty. With its historic buildings, coastal views, and relaxed atmosphere, it’s an ideal place to explore, take a short walk, or enjoy refreshments.
The final stop is Chanonry Point on the Moray Firth, one of the best places in the UK to spot bottlenose dolphins from the shore. With luck, you’ll see dolphins swimming close to the coastline before we return to Inverness.
