Designed as a monumental stone narrative of Christian faith, its façades represent key moments of Christ’s life, while the interior columns rise like a forest inspired by nature. Financed entirely by donations and ticket sales, the basilica is expected to be completed around 2030—Gaudí famously said “My client is not in a hurry,” knowing the project would take generations to finish.
