This experience focuses on Madeira’s inland landscapes rather than traditional coastal sightseeing, offering a different perspective of the island through forest and mountain environments.
The route follows selected secondary roads and off-road tracks into the Laurissilva Forest, a protected natural area recognised for its ecological importance and dense native vegetation. Travelling by 4×4 allows access to forest paths and remote areas not reachable by standard vehicles.
As the journey progresses to higher elevations, the scenery opens into wide mountain plateaus, including the Fanal area, known for its ancient trees, open fields and distinctive atmosphere shaped by weather and altitude.
Stops are planned in natural settings, prioritising calm locations and time to observe the landscape without rush.

Pick-up is provided at hotels or accommodations in Funchal. Guests will receive detailed meeting and pickup instructions in advance, including the description of the 4×4 vehicle and the scheduled pick-up time. Pick-up outside the Funchal area may be available upon request and is arranged separately.
Guests who do not require hotel pick-up can meet the guide at a central location in Funchal. The exact meeting point, vehicle description, and meeting time will be confirmed in advance after booking.
