Experience the world-famous Shibuya Scramble Crossing, one of the busiest pedestrian crossings on the planet. As hundreds of people cross from every direction at once, you’ll witness the organized chaos that symbolizes modern Tokyo. We’ll stop for photos and share insights about Shibuya’s evolution from a quiet neighborhood into a global cultural hub.
Step into a peaceful forest sanctuary in the heart of Tokyo. Meiji Shrine is dedicated to Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken and offers a striking contrast to the city’s fast-paced energy. We’ll park our bikes and walk through the towering torii gates, explore the serene grounds, and learn about Shinto traditions. This is a moment to slow down and experience Tokyo’s spiritual side.
Discover Harajuku, Tokyo’s playful and fashion-forward district known for its colorful street culture and youth trends. We’ll explore the vibrant atmosphere around Takeshita Street and nearby backstreets, where creativity and individuality define the neighborhood. This stop highlights Tokyo’s ever-evolving pop culture scene.
Ride through the iconic Ginkgo Avenue at Meiji Jingu Gaien, one of Tokyo’s most scenic boulevards. Lined with tall ginkgo trees, this wide avenue offers a refreshing, open-space contrast to the dense city streets. Depending on the season, you may see vibrant green leaves or brilliant golden foliage. It’s one of the most photogenic cycling moments of the tour. As we ride through the area, we’ll also pass by the Japan National Stadium, built for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Cycle through the peaceful grounds of Aoyama Cemetery, one of Tokyo’s most serene and unexpected urban landscapes. Far from the crowds, this quiet tree-lined area offers a reflective contrast to the city’s vibrant districts. In spring, cherry blossoms line the paths, while other seasons reveal a different, subtle beauty. It’s a calm and contemplative moment during the ride.
Explore Roppongi, one of Tokyo’s most international and contemporary districts. Known for its modern architecture, vibrant nightlife, and cultural institutions, this area represents a different side of the city. We’ll pause for photos and discuss how Tokyo blends tradition with cutting-edge urban development.
Stop at Tokyo Tower, one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks. Inspired by the Eiffel Tower yet uniquely Japanese, its striking red-and-white structure has symbolized Tokyo’s postwar growth and modern identity for decades. We’ll pause for photos and take in panoramic views of the surrounding cityscape from ground level.
Visit Zojoji Temple, a historic Buddhist temple located at the foot of Tokyo Tower. Founded in the 14th century and closely associated with the Tokugawa shogunate, the temple offers a powerful contrast between old and new Tokyo. From the temple grounds, you can capture one of the city’s most iconic views—traditional architecture framed by the modern skyline.
We finish the tour with a relaxed ride along Meiji Street toward Ebisu and Daikanyama. This mostly flat stretch offers a smooth and comfortable cruise, allowing you to take in Tokyo’s everyday rhythm beyond the major landmarks. As we ride, you’ll experience the calm, stylish atmosphere of these neighborhoods—an easy and reflective ending to our journey together.
