What to expect

Guests will be picked up in the morning from designated pickup locations before travelling together to the Emerald Basin trailhead. Upon arrival, guides will assist guests with final gear checks, ensure everyone is properly prepared, and provide an overview of the day, including the route, expected conditions, group expectations, and safety considerations.

Before beginning the hike, guides will review the group’s code of conduct, share background on the area’s natural and cultural history, and provide wildlife safety information specific to the region. The hike will be led by two guides, with one positioned at the front of the group and one at the back to ensure a safe, steady pace and continuous group supervision. Along the trail, guides will make planned stops to share interpretive information, answer questions, and allow time to rest and enjoy the surroundings.

At a designated lunch spot, the group will stop to eat, snack, and take in the scenery before beginning the return hike along the same route. Once back at the trailhead, guests will be transported back to their original drop-off locations, concluding the experience.
